The show will feature singing snowmen (over 20’ tall), a life-sized Nativity, Candyland, a giant American flag and a spectacular 240 ft. wall of lights, making it the largest synchronized show in Central Indiana. This dazzling light display will be open from 6-10 p.m., November 12 through January 2, 2022.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – For the 25th year the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center, along with several community partners, are coming together to host Safe Night Halloween from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, October 31 on the northside of the Fairgrounds at Celebration Park (outdoors, trunk or treat-style). Hoosier Spirit Abundant at 2021 Indiana State Fair

August 23, 2021, INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The 2021 Indiana State Fair closed yesterday following an 18-day event schedule. Under a new format, the State Fair was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and added an additional weekend, which helped to spread out crowds across the additional day. As a result, the 2021 Indiana State Fair welcomed a total of 830,390 fairgoers throughout its 18 days.

4-H Youth Recognized at the 2021 Indiana State Fair Celebration of Champions

Indiana State Fair FAIRs Care Food Drive 2021 Winners Announced

August 21, 2021, INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Since 2013, the Indiana State Fair has partnered with the Indiana Association of Fairs (INAF) and Feeding Indiana’s Hungry (FIsH) to implement the FAIRs Care County Food Drive program. The goal of FAIRs Care is to raise awareness of local hunger needs and help feed hungry Hoosiers. This year, participating counties have collected 33,548 total pounds of food and raised $74,240.21 for local food pantries this year. Using the Feeding American calculation, dividing the total pounds collected by 1.2, the donations collected this year equate to 27,957 meals – enough to provide about 77 Hoosiers with a meal every day for an entire year.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, August 19, 2021 – Twenty-three food vendors at the Indiana State Fair have spent the last two weeks battling for the title of “2021 Indiana State Fair Taste of the Fair Champion” as they offered fairgoers some of the most wacky, creative and delicious treats the fair has ever seen. NATIONAL EXPOSITION SWINE SHOW MOVES TO INDIANAPOLIS

(Indianapolis, IN) Motorsports fans are excited about a big weekend of racing, coming to the Indiana State Fairgrounds and Event Center, Friday-Sunday, August 21-23. Friday and Saturday action features racing of the two-wheeled variety with American Flat Track followed by the return of the Hoosier Hundred for USAC Silver Crown on Sunday.

Mecum Exceeds $74 Million in Indy with a Triumphant Return to Live Auctions

WALWORTH, Wis. – July 21, 2020 – Mecum Auctions held its most successful Indianapolis auction to date as the 33rd annual flagship event climbed to just more than $74 million in overall sales. In all, the 2020 auction was host to 1,800 vehicles and more than 6,000 Road Art lots offered over nine auction days, July 10-18. The sprawling Indy lineup ultimately achieved an overall sell-through rate of 90% as the vehicles alone reached an exceptional 78% sold. Notably, 346 of the vehicles offered were sold to online-only bidders for a total of $10.3 million.

Indiana State Fairgrounds hosts World Blood Donor Day Red Cross blood drive to help during pandemic

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 8, 2020) — The Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center and Anheuser Busch are stepping up to help during the pandemic by hosting an American Red Cross blood drive to boost blood supplies. The blood drive will take place on World Blood Donor Day, Sunday, June 14, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and Event Center, 1202 East 38th Street in Indianapolis, with a goal to collect 75 blood donations.

Indianapolis, IN 6/4/2020 - Today the Indiana State Fair Commission and the Indiana State Fair Board announced a modified State Fair 4-H Livestock Show with additional activities that will be held on the State Fairgrounds in August. This year’s traditional Indiana State Fair will not take place. Ultimately, the difficult decision was driven by the impact of COVID-19.

Basketball is the theme of the 2020 Indiana State Fair

March 10, 2020, INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Great Indiana State Fair, taking place August 7-23, announces that its 2020 theme BASKETBALL presented by Pacers Sports & Entertainment will be dedicated to all things related to the sport, with an homage to Indiana’s rich basketball legacy. The theme will be activated through multiple interactive experiences, including All-Star Court (a Basketball Amusement Park), the Pacers Sports & Entertainment Court, daily storytelling moments – 17 of Indiana’s greatest basketball stories told through the 17 days of the Fair, team player meet & greets, and so much more.

ApHC NATIONAL SHOW MOVING TO INDIANAPOLIS IN 2021

MOSCOW, Idaho – For the first time since 1992, when it was held in Columbus, Ohio, the National Appaloosa Horse Show & Youth World Championship is coming back to the Midwest. The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) and the Indiana State Fair Commission today signed a 3-year agreement to hold one of America’s oldest and most prestigious horse shows in Indianapolis, beginning in 2021.

2020 Miss Indiana State Fair Queen Crowned

INDIANAPOLIS, IN 1/5/20 - Claudia Duncan, Miss Vanderburgh County, was crowned the 62nd Indiana State Fair Queen today at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center. Claudia is the 4th representative from Vanderburgh County to be crowned Miss Indiana State Fair following Karen Kosester, 1974; Tate Fritchley, 2016 and Becca Lax, 2017.

Miss Indiana State Fair 2020 was selected over 83 other contestants after three days of judging. The Indiana State Fair Queen plays a key role in promoting the Indiana State Fair by traveling at least 10,000 miles during June and July to approximately 45 counties in preparation for the great Indiana State Fair, August 7-23, 2020.
