Departments and available positions:
Human Resources: The Human Resources Intern is responsible for coordinating and performing all activities and tasks of the Indiana State Fair Employment Office. The Employment Office hires and processes approximately 900 seasonal employees who will work the annual Indiana State Fair.
Livestock and Competitions Entry: The position of Entry Department Intern is part of a team that works to coordinate all livestock shows, competitions and
4-H exhibits during the 2025 Indiana State Fair. This intern will have a chance
to work on several projects including: exhibitor communications, show entry and
event planning for shows and contests, i.e., the Grand Drive. This will be a
great opportunity for individuals interested in agriculture, show management and
the Indiana State Fair.
Sign Shop: Sign Shop interns work with a team to create projects for State Fairgrounds events and the Indiana State Fair while working with the Marketing team to provide an excellent customer experience to our guests and community.
Sponsorship: The position of Sponsorship Intern will assist with the planning and implementation of all Sponsorships during the Fair, as well as help generate new revenue by contacting companies to promote discounted Indiana State Fair ticket packages. This internship will allow the intern to gain exceptional experience in client communication, event planning, on-site event management and implementation.
Vendor Services: The purpose of this position is to assist in the day-to-day functions of the Vendor Services Department with a focus on working in the Indiana State Fair Concessions Department, which is one of the key revenue-generating departments on the Fairgrounds. Daily responsibilities will include assisting the more than 200 food and non-food vendors that are contracted at the annual Indiana State Fair around the grounds and in The Mercantile Building by creating and implementing contracts and mailings, collecting money deposits, fulfilling credential orders and providing excellent customer service.
